I got done with my workout tonight a little more burnt than usual. I worked over 13 hours yesterday, 11 hours today, came home took a short nap and went straight through the plyo workout. It felt good to just get it done with how busy my days have been lately.
After my plyo workout I opened my patio door and stepped outside. I was covered in a sweat-soaked shirt and and there was a slight breeze outside. You know them moments that go by so fast and you swear you just experienced deja vous? Well it happened to me tonight. I was on my deck and the feeling of that dry crisp air shot into my lungs and immediately reminded me of winter. Christmas more specifically. I have lived in the upper Midwest my entire life and as much as I hate the wind, I do like the winter. I grew up with nasty winters and have never known anything different. In them 2 seconds I could see the houses covered in lights, the 5-6 inch ruts in the roads where cars had drove through freshly dropped snow, and the smell of freshly baked Christmas food. Some of the best memories of my life are from Christmas with my family and even though it is a couple months away, I felt I was in that moment tonight...
